Alanya is rightly called one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey. This marvelous place lies on the southern coast of Anatolia, on the outskirts of the mountainous cape that juts out into the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated between two long sandy beaches one of them bears a name of Cleopatra.

Besides the aged impressive fortresses, watchtowers and churches here is a symbol of Antalya - Kizil Kule octagonal tower, or the red tower, its height is 29 m. It is conveniently situated along the coast. Kizil Kule was built in 1225.
Those who like explore and discover some new and unusual things are welcome to visit the cave Damlatas, the age of which more than 15 000 years. If you are tired of the bright sun and the heat becomes unbearable, you can take an all day trip to the valley of Kaya Dim, located not far from Alanya, where you can relax in the shade of the trees and listen to the gentle murmur of the brook.
In 30 km on the east of Alanya there is Aytap. This is a historic harbor and the city-port Lotape - a great place for sightseeing. You will enjoy its Roman ruins, isolated, lonely, deserted beaches and coves. Not far from Alanya here is a small town - Konakli, which also attracts tourists for its bars, cafes and discos.
